James G. Keane has served as President and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago (BGCC) since August 2008.  He oversees 16 Clubs throughout the Chicago area that serve 10,000 young people.  Keane came to the Clubs from YMCA of Metropolitan where he served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel.  He was responsible for a number of areas, including housing, youth and teen leadership, crisis, gang intervention, and real estate transactions.  Prior to joining YMCA, Keane served as the Associate General Counsel at Sears, Roebuck and Co.   Keane began his professional career as a teacher of high school English, economics and history at Loyola Academy in Wilmette and the Latin School of Chicago. He earned a law degree from Northwestern University School of Law in 1992 and an undergraduate degree from Harvard in 1984.
