More than 300 of Chicago’s brightest and most generous young philanthropists joined the Guild Board of Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago at its 8th annual summer party, Lawn Ball on July 20 at the exclusive Saddle & Cycle Club. This summer-themed event raised more than $270,000 for the nonprofit. All proceeds will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago, which has been an anchor of hope, stability, and opportunity in the often chaotic lives of Chicago’s youth for the past 110 years.

Guests were dressed to impress in their "country club best" inspired wear. The event featured cocktails on the patio, a full-course dinner and an impressive silent auction with top packages that included a seven-night stay in the mountains at Park City and a seven-night stay at the Grand Wailea in Hawaii, both including airfare provided by United Airlines. Dancing went into the late hours with live music from Final Say. The highlight of the event was when recent high school graduate and Boys & Girls Club of Chicago’s Youth of the Year Nora Martinez addressed the crowd on what the recent honor meant to her. Thanks to the support of her Boys & Girls Club, Martinez will be attending the University of Illinois at Chicago next year.

The event was chaired by Guild members John Cialone and Andrea Katz.
