David graduated high school with a 3.8 GPA and is now pursuing a college diploma. He aspires to be an FBI agent to protect the next generation from gangs.
In Chicago, there are many kids like David. They need extra encouragement, confidence and skills to take their lives in a different direction than the neighborhood into which they were born. Our Clubs are located in some of Chicago’s toughest neighborhoods that bear more than their fair share of criminal activity. Proven programs like SMART Moves, SMART Girls and Passport to Manhood are helping young people create positive identities.
Please Make a Difference to help kids like David reject violence, drugs and early parenthood.
- $2,500 will provide 50 children the opportunity to be a part of SMART Moves, a program that will train them to make positive, personal choices
- $1,000 allows 14 children to participate in SMART Girls or Passport to Manhood, our signature adolescent development programs
- $500 will provide 25 hot dinners for Thanksgiving to members and their families
- $100 will provide 400 low-fat cartons of milk to growing members in a day
