BGCC Host Midwest Digital Arts Festival at Microsoft Center
The 2009 Midwest Regional Digital Arts Festival was hosted by
Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago on April 30, 2009 and held at
the Microsoft Center in downtown Chicago. This year's Digital
Arts Festival theme was "The Nature of Design." Club
members were asked to explore nature’s inherent beauty to
find out what photographers, film makers, musicians and designers
borrow from the natural world to create their art. The event was
moderated by WTTW Chicago Tonight correspondent Christian Farr.

Charity Event at N9NE Steakhouse Benefit BGCC
On April 30, 2009, N9NE Steakhouse and Ghostbar Owners Michael
Morton and Scott DeGraff celebrated their golden nine year anniversary
with an all-out, private charity bash benefiting the Boys &
Girls Club of Chicago. Movers and shakers danced the night away
with music spun by N9NE resident DJ Sheldon Knight. Guests got
into the giving spirit by bringing new and gently used sports
equipment to benefit the Boys and Girls Club. By the end of the
night, the event successfully raised a van full of athletic equipment
for the kids and $3,105 in cash donations.
