BGCC Member Receives Free Trip to Disney World
2007 Junior Youth of the Year Ezekiel Clerk was honored at Clear
Channel Radio on November 9th. Ezekiel has been a member of the
Ford Heights Boys & Girls Club for six years. His good behavior,
leadership abilities, and well rounded character are recognized
and commended at the Club.
He is in the 7th grade at Saul Beck Upper Grade Center where he has maintained a 3.7 grade point average last school year. Disney wanted to acknowledge Ezekiel and so they invited him and his family to Clear Channel Radio for an interview. His family was shocked to learn that they had been chosen to receive an all expenses paid trip to Disney World as a part of Disney’s Year of a Million Dreams. Breast Cancer Awareness Event
The Ford Heights Club partnered with the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. & JASSAC Charitable Foundation Inc. to promote Breast Cancer Awareness. Over 25 community members and 85 non-community members attended this event. The event included Breast Cancer self exam demonstrations, cooking and exercise demonstrations, free mammograms, and Q & A sessions with Medical Professionals.
