The Little Village Club conducted its annual haunted house on
October 30th and 31st this Halloween season. Over 50 members volunteered
to help make this event a frightful success. We had a crazy clown,
Jason, witches and some good old scary visitors participate in
the two day scare fest. The Club invited members of the community
on the scary journey and all were welcomed with open arms to enjoy
this memorable experience.
Little Village - Empowerment Camping Trip

The empowerment camping trip gave 14 Little Village club members and five staff an opportunity to bond and gain knowledge about nature and leaderships skills. The camping skills that they learned during the trip along with information they learn from club activities empowered them to be proactive and independent. Members learned how to start a camp fire as a group with limited resources and other survival skills. For many this was their first time camping and away form home. The event took place at Conference Point Center off Lake Geneva from May 25 to 27th and was made possible by the Sandoval Grant the club received last year. themselves freely and be in a safe environment without the fear of the negativity occurring in the Englewood community.

Little Village Club: Tannenbaum’s Save the Day

Little Village Boys & Girls Club received a pool table in excellent condition from Josh and Jaime Tannenbaum (located in the middle of the picture above). When the Tannenbaum family realized that the club badly needed a pool table, they immediately jumped into action taking care of everything, including delivery and set-up directly to the game room. Salvador Andrade, Little Village program director, commented, “The pool table will be enjoyed greatly and appreciated by our members.”
