Child Development

Our childcare program for preschool children and school-age children offers individual care and education in a small, fixed-group setting. Child development programs are accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and the National School-Age Care Alliance (NSACA). These programs focus on children's:

  • Social and emotional development
  • Physical development
  • Cognitive development
  • Language development
In addition, child development programs provide:
  • Meals, snacks and nutrition education
  • Medical and dental follow-up and referrals as well as immunizations and hearing or vision screenings
  • Mental health services and referrals
  • Family services and referrals

Half-day preschool programs are funded by Head Start funding. Families must meet income guidelines. A low monthly fee is determined by family size and annual income. To find a preschool or school-age child care program near you. Find A Club.
