Homework Help - This dedicated hour of homework help and tutoring called Power Hour raises the academic proficiency of Club members. Members gain basic computer skills, create digital movies, make music and photography, and learn graphic design and web development. Our members are on the cutting edge of learning how to apply technology in their daily lives and learning how it will be an integral part of their futures.
Technology – Thanks to a donation, our Clubs are equipped with the latest tools and software to make our members proficient technology users. Members gain basic computer skills, make digital movies, music and photography, and learn graphic design and web development. College Bound – Funded by Polk Bros. and Sprint, College Bound gives high school members the opportunity to learn how to plan, prepare and set goals for post secondary education. College Bound participants meet weekly, visit universities and have ongoing communication with our alumni who attend college. They receive materials and have discussions that help them combat college stresses, including FAFSA assistance, how to choose a college, how to appropriately complete essays and applications and how to achieve academic goals.
Science Programs – With the support of the Sierra Club, we offer science programs that increase awareness of environmental concerns.
Youth Employment Services – Teenage members receive guidance and support with Employment opportunities through our Youth Career Development Center and our WIA Program.

Youth Employment Solutions (YES), a program sponsored by the Department of Children & Youth Services, prepares young people, ages 14-21, for quality employment and careers. In today’s competitive, ever changing and diverse job market, employers are looking for well trained and socialized youth. YES provides a holistic approach to youth development, offering services including but not limited to: Paid and unpaid work experience, Guidance and Counseling, Tutoring (study skills and drop-out prevention), Occupational skills training (Pharmacy Tech), and summer employment opportunities. YES is offered at four Boys and Girls Club locations:
